A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

Overview

Cashier Guy is an indie math-survival game revolved around making change under tight time restrictions. Follow temporary cashier Guy's attempt to make change for hasty customers while under pressure from his greedy manager. It's not that simple, Guy realizes, as the cash register slowly breaks down and forces restrictions that bring upon a nightmare of a shift!

Game Features

  • Struggle to make change quickly, accurately, and efficiently with a faulty cash register
  • Survive for 5 minutes without letting Guy quit his job or getting fired
  • Every 30 seconds, an interesting "fun" effect will occur
  • Aim for the final "S" rank

Developer's note: Sorry that this isn't a browser game. When I exported it using HTML5 settings, the game and audio was laggy, and I didn't want to present a game that was less than what it was. Also, the mac and linux versions might not work (as I don't know how to test them), so I'm sorry if those break as well. Thank you for understanding.

This game was developed for My First Game Jam (Summer 2020). Its theme was Change.

You made me think. You made me do math. You made me type fast and precise to not lose. And i enjoyed it so much. Congrats on the game!

This is a really good game. It hits this spot, where I'm always loosing, but just want to keep going and going.
Only thing that annoyed me a little is, sometimes when I was late on giving pennies, I ended up giving  the next guy twenties, which makes it  alot harder at times.

I’m happy you liked it! I agree that the pennies to twenties transition was rather quick; probably should have added a buffer in between the two. Thanks for playing!

Super tough! Keep getting fired! ;-) LOL. I like the concept. Took me a few times to figure out the mechanics, but I like it. Bravo

Thanks!! I tend to like difficult games so it’s sort of part of my style. Glad you liked it!
